In PlayPosit, bulbs can be shared with other Instructors or Students when in the Instructor role. Instructors can view bulbs in preview mode where responses are not recorded. When Students view and interact with a bulb, their responses are recorded.
Instructors can share bulbs in a number of ways:
- Copying and sharing the "Share URL"
- Assigning a bulb to a Class
Copying and sharing the "Share URL"
In your "My Bulbs" menu, click the Share options icon next to the name of the bulb you wish to share. In the pop-up menu that appears, click on the Share URL to copy the text.
You can now paste the Share URL for your bulb into a document or message and share it with other TLE-based PlayPosit users (the recipient of the Share URL will need to be logged into their TLE account in order to view the bulb).
Assigning a Bulb to a Class
To assign a bulb to a group of users through a Class you have created as an Instructor, first, make sure you are logged into PlayPosit through TLE as an Instructor.
Next, click on the icon with 3 dots on it next to the bulb you want to share with your Class, and select "Assign" from the menu that appears.
Select the Class you wish to share your bulb with as well as a due date. (Users will still have access to the bulb after the due date, so the date you choose won't impact shareability.)
Then click "Save," and your bulb will now be accessible to members of this Class when they visit it as Students.
If there are no Students in your Class or individuals who have not yet joined, the simplest way to provide them with Class membership is to send them the Class Join code. You can find this code by going to your Classes and clicking on the name of Class.
Then, in the top navigation menu for that Class, click the icon that looks like a person with a plus sign next to it (hovering over this icon will produce a label "Class Join Code").
You can copy either the Class Join Code or Class URL and send it to users who wish to join your Class. They will need to log in as Students in order to apply the code to join the Class or visit the Class Join URL.
